Cosmetic Surgery: Who's Doing What and Where

Cosmetic surgery is no big deal especially for Hollywood celebrities who are obsessed about looking young, fit and shapely all the time. In a recent survey, the latest figures indicated that the Americans represent 45 percent of the world market in cosmetic surgery. Brazil comes second. And the top cosmetic surgery procedures are breast augmentation and Botox.

A recent report released by IMCAS, a congress held in  Paris dedicated to cosmetic surgeons and dermatologists, in its annual meeting cited China, Japan and Mexico as the countries that topped the global charts for cosmetic surgery procedures. Italy is followed by France and Germany as Europe’s biggest cosmetic surgery markets.

Liposuction, breast augmentation, eyelid lifts, tummy tucks and rhinoplasty are the top procedures performed in the US, Brazil, China, Japan and Mexico while the top procedures performed in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and  Russia include breast augmentation, liposuction, rhinoplasty, eyelid lifts and breast lifts.

Some of the famous people who have had plastic surgery procedure(s) include:

Courtney Cox has admitted to trying botox and maybe went a lot further than that. She had skin resurfacing and had fillers in her cheeks and lips. She is also a big laser treatment fan. She had Ulthera – a procedure that stimulates collagen production, and Fraxel – a procedure to get rid of all brown spots off the arms, chest and face.

Jane Fonda had a facelift in her 40s and another in 2010. She also had breast implants when she was younger and recently had a chin lift and underwent a surgery to remove the bags under her eyes.

Kim Kardashian’s current body shape appears to be the result of extensive liposuction on hips, thighs, stomach and back. A Brazilian Butt Lift is also said to be done on Kim’s butt.

  

Emmanuelle Beart – a French actress had a lip job when she was 27 years old, which unfortunately turned out to be a disastrous and blotched job. She was in the 1996 Mission Impossible movie and the 1987 Date with an Angel film.

Tori Spelling had breast implants when she was in her early 20s, who now says she shouldn’t have done it if she knew that it had an impact in the production of breast milk.

Joan Rivers who now is in her 70s without a wrinkle on her face. She spent big bucks for an eye tuck, two face lifts, more than one rhinoplasty and a liberal dose of Botox.

LaToya Jackson had her nose thinned out through rhinoplasty. People are also speculating if she had a brow lift.  

  

Lara Flynn Boyle had lip augmentation, rhinoplasty and cheek implants.
